Bonita Springs, Fla. – Detectives are investigating a homicide in connection with an overnight shooting in Bonita Springs.
Multiple units of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the 27000 block of Matheson Avenue around 11 p.m. Sunday.
When NBC2 crews arrived on the scene Sunday night, several streets around Matheson Avenue and Longfellow Lane were taped off.
Crime scene investigators were on the scene Monday morning, but when they left two tow trucks showed up and towed a blue Subaru and a black truck from the home.
Matheson Avenue was filled with deputies, K9s and detectives. Residents on this street were told to stay indoors and close their doors.
Investigators are still on the scene looking for more information about the shooting.
No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
