CHARLOTTE – A juvenile was found shot to death in a northwest Charlotte park and an adult was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Tuesday night, CMPD said.

The double shooting appears to have happened around 7pm on Greer Grove Road near Beatty’s Ford Road between the playground and tennis courts at Fred Alexander Park.

No one has been arrested.

“Heart drops,” Major Jackie Briley said. “It’s extremely frustrating that our young people resort to violence to resolve any kind of conflict or disagreement, so it’s extremely frustrating for us and devastating for the families involved on both sides of the equation.”

No further information has been released.
