A former FedEx employee has been charged with attempted murder after he shot a co-worker at a FedEx facility in Tennessee.
William Morris has been charged with first-degree attempted murder and possession of a firearm after police say he shot a co-worker in the abdomen following an argument at a FedEx facility in Memphis, Tennessee. WHBQ-TV reported.
Police responded to the Southeast Memphis FedEx facility at 10:30pm on November 2 when a man said Morris had shot him in the chest, and security officials confirmed Morris was an employee at the facility.
Morris and the victim got into an argument after Morris touched the victim’s back, which the victim took issue with.
According to a witness, Morris told the victim not to follow him outside or he would shoot him. WREG-TV reported. As the victim walked to his car, Morris drove with him and pointed a gun at the victim before getting out of the car, according to an affidavit.
The injured woman was admitted to the hospital.
The FedEx facility was temporarily locked down during the shooting.

Morris is currently in police custody on a $250,000 bond.
“There is no higher priority than the safety and security of our team members,” a FedEx spokesperson told Fox News Digital in a statement. “Our thoughts are with the victim and those affected by this incident and we are fully cooperating with the investigating authorities. We can confirm that he is no longer a FedEx supply chain employee.
