The PGA Tour has accused LIV Golf’s Saudi supporters of trying to avoid a court battle with the popular professional golf organization by claiming an illegal ban, according to a court filing in the Friday.
The Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (PIF), which owns LIV Golf, and the head of PIF, Yasir Othman Al-Rumayyan, initially agreed to withdraw letters of demand from the PGA Tour. , the visit said in court.

LIV Golf officials said “no court in the United States has jurisdiction over them” and they are not in the way of discovery. They also argued that there was no need for a lawsuit.
The PGA Tour asked the court in its October filing to compel PIF and Al-Rumayyan to comply with its demands.
The PGA Tour and LIV Golf are moving forward in a federal lawsuit, after Phil Mickelson and other golfers were suspended by the PGA for participating in the premier league.
They accused the PGA Tour, which does not allow its players to compete in other televised golf tournaments without permission, of trying to stop the tournament.
The PGA Tour, along with Augusta National Golf Club and the United States Golf Association, is under investigation by the Department of Justice for allegations of anti-competitive behavior.
