Number of posts : 1
Salary Level: 14 (Rs. 144200 – Rs. 218200) plus DA and other Central Government Allowances. rates as applicable to the Institute from time to time.

Basic Knowledge: Master’s degree from a recognized University with at least 55% of aggregate marks or equivalent grade in the credit score in any area following the grading system.
ExperienceMinimum 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Education Level -11 (AGP of Rs. 7000 as per 6th CPC) and above along with educational administration experience or with 8 years of service in Education Level – 12 (AGP of Rs. 8000 as per 6th CPC) and above including Associate Professor with experience in educational administration.
Or
Similar experience at a Research Center and/or other higher education institution.
Or
15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 will be as a deputy registrar or equivalent position.

Age limit : Not less than 50 years and not more than 57 years as on 12.12.2022. The post is for a period of 5 years or till the incumbent attains the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier, or as decided by the Govt. of India related orders from time to time.

After submitting the online application form, applicants have to print it
application form. A copy of the same along with the required documents should be sent
through the proper channel/employer in a sealed envelope above ‘Application for the post of Registrar’ to the Director, IIT Guwahati, Guwahati- 781039 to reach the Institute by 5 PM (IST) on or before 27 December 2022.
Application Fees Applicants have to pay the non-refundable application fee through online mode only. The fee payable by the applicant is as follows: Rs. 500 (for Unreserved and OBC applicants) & Rs. 250 (for SC/ST/PwD applicants). Female applicants are exempted from paying the application fee.
