A migrant worker from Assam was found murdered at Koyilandy beach in Kozhikode district on Wednesday morning (October 5.) Police identified the victim as Dulu Rajavamsi.
The 26-year-old suspect allegedly strangled two of his co-workers after a fight on Tuesday night at the beach. They later threw him into the sea to confirm his death, according to the police.
Manoranjan and Lakshni, the two suspects accused of carrying out the crime have been remanded in Koyilandy jail, as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
Sources said that the two suspects were addicted to synthetic drugs and took extreme measures while intoxicated. The body of the victim was transferred to the government hospital in Koyilandy for examination.
