SILCHAR: Tension prevailed in Barmaan Basti area under Ratabari district of Karimganj district in south Assam, after the death of an 18-year-old girl who was killed by a number of pigs recently.

Padani Rani Barman, daughter of Bama Charan Barman, was brutally killed by a number of pigs on November 5 (Saturday) after she went to work in the Jhum area of ​​Barman Basti, about 132 KM. in Silchar with her friends. While they were working in the fields, wild pigs attacked them. Padani’s friends managed to escape, but were attacked and killed by the pigs. The body was later sent by the police to Karimganj Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
