A man is recovering after being shot in Surrey, B.C., and trying to drive himself to hospital with an arm injury.
The man, who is known to police and has gang ties, opened fire Sunday in a vehicle near a red light near Scott Road and 110 Avenue.
He went to a hospital in another jurisdiction and has since been released, RCMP said in a news release Tuesday. Police believe it was a targeted incident, but the cause is still under investigation.
“This shooting is said to have happened on a busy road during the day, yet we have not received any police reports,” said Cpl. Vanessa in the previous newsletter.
Police said they learned of the alleged shooting around 6:15 p.m. because the victim had gone to a hospital outside Surrey.
