Sharma thanked the actor for choosing to shoot his film in the state.

“Emergency” will also star veteran actor Anupam Kher as revolutionary leader JP Narayanan, Shreyas Talpade as former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Field Marshal Sam Manekshai Milind Soman and writer-cultural activist Mahima Chaudhary as Pupul Jayakar.
