A Curaleaf-owned dispensary in Bordentown Township began selling adult weed Tuesday, becoming the 20th store in New Jersey to sell adult recreational marijuana.

The soft opening was confirmed to NJ Advance Media by Curaleaf spokeswoman Meg Kelly.

Kelly said the company plans to officially announce the launch of mature hay sales in Bordentown and other details on Wednesday.

The launch is the third location in the state by Curaleaf to offer adult recreational and recreational drugs. Adult weed sales began at Bellmawr during the ground launch on April 21. A month later deliveries began at Edgewater Park after traffic issues at the site were resolved.

Curaleaf Bordentown received state approvals to expand to adult weed at the eight-month-old dispensary located at 191 US 130 North Route 130 on Thursday.

Curaleaf, the state’s largest cannabis grower and one of the nation’s largest in terms of revenue and footprint, initially hoped to receive the government’s approval at a board meeting on 9 September. When that didn’t happen, Curaleaf wrote a letter of appeal to the group.

With the opening of Curaleaf Bordentown, there will be another chance to play before the new year begins.

Ascend Fort Lee plans to appear before the city’s Planning Board on Nov. 14, after launching a medical marijuana facility at a former Staples store in Fort Lee on Aug. 12. .

Ascend has received state approvals over the past few months, which the county must sign off on to become the 21st store in New Jersey that offers it.

Other places to sell mature weed in addition to Curaleaf’s three locations are: Verano, under the Zen leaves banner, in Elizabeth, Lawrence and Neptune; Acres, at The Botanist Williamstown and The Botanist Egg Harbour; Green Thumb, which uses the RISE banner, at RISE Bloomfield and RISE Paterson; TerrAscend, under the Apothecarium banner, in Maplewood, Phillipsburg and Lodi; The Cannabist/Columbia Care, in Deptford and Vineland; Garden State Medical Dispensary by AYR in Woodbridge, Eatontown and Union; and Ascend in Rochelle Park and most recently, in Montclair, which opened for adult weed on August 19.
