The Mizoram Siaha police station has received the arrested persons and the seized items for further investigation.

A joint team of Assam Rifles and police officials from Siaha district of Mizoram carried out the operation.

The Assam Rifles issued a statement saying, “The team has detailed information about the transfer of tactics and war material to militants in Myanmar.”
The team stopped and searched one kenbo bike and one yoda in Tuipang village, it continued. The search party found a large number of tactics and military supplies.

The Assam Rifles said that it is possible that the militants in Myanmar are using the same (recovered equipment) against their own people.
“This recovery saved the potential loss of precious lives,” she added.
