Three teenagers have been arrested in what police believe is a weekend robbery attempt.
Philadelphia – Two people were killed in an unrelated shooting in Philadelphia Monday evening, authorities said.
Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 2500 block of Carroll Street around 5:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting.
The initial information given by the department is that the victim, 47, was fatally shot in the chest while cleaning the house.
Police said the unnamed victim was pronounced dead at the scene by doctors. No arrests were immediately reported.
Around the same time, police were also called to a fatal shooting in Philadelphia’s Kingsessing neighborhood that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man.
The man, who was shot multiple times throughout his body, died at a nearby hospital, investigators said.
Authorities said an arrest was made and a weapon was recovered, but did not provide further details.
