D.C. police have arrested a 13-year-old in the shooting death of 15-year-old Andre Robertson Jr. in Northeast D.C.

This is the second arrest ever made by the Metropolitan Police Department; A 15-year-old male was arrested on November 4. Both suspects were charged with first-degree murder while armed, DC police said.

The incident took place on Thursday, October 13, when some children were getting off the school bus. Police said Robertson Jr. was sitting on his grandmother’s front porch when he was shot.

The woman representing Robertson Jr.’s loved ones, Joanna Hardy, told FOX 5 the family has been emotional and busy during this difficult time.

“Everyone is holding high hopes, continuing to pray and come together and unite during this time,” Hardy said. “Andre was a good kid and he will be truly missed in his community.”

Investigators said three shooters walked up outside the teenager’s home on 48th Place Northeast and opened fire. Police say the case remains under investigation and anyone with information should call police at 202-727-9099.
