A shooting outside a River North nightclub Sunday morning left one dead and three others injured after a physical altercation ended.
According to Chicago Police, the incident happened around 2:10 a.m. in the 300 block of West Chicago.
A group of individuals were killed at a nightclub, causing a fight to spill onto the sidewalk. Meanwhile, two men took out weapons and opened fire.
One of the victims, a 30-year-old man, was shot in the chest. Police arrived at the scene and began CPR by applying a tourniquet, but he was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. A security guard opened fire on the group and was hit in the arm, police said.
Another man and a woman were injured but are in stable condition, police said.
Multiple weapons were recovered at the scene and at least one suspect was taken into custody.
Authorities are searching for another suspect and are asking the public to come forward with any surveillance video of the area.
