1 dead, 2 injured in Rogers Park shooting | Media Pyro

A shooting in Rogers Park on the North Side left one person dead and two others injured Wednesday night.

Chicago police said the three were standing in the 6600 block of North Clark Street when they opened fire around 8:50 p.m.

The man, whose age was unknown, was shot in the chest and taken by Chicago firefighters to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he died, police said.

A 48-year-old man was shot in the face and taken to the same hospital in fair condition, police said.

Another man, a 43-year-old man, was hit in the stomach, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in fair condition.

An hour later, about a mile away, a 48-year-old man was shot on a sidewalk in the same neighborhood.

A gunman walked up to him and opened fire in the 1600 block of West Howard Street at 10 p.m., police said.

The man, who was shot in the leg, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in stable condition, police said.

No arrests have been made in either shooting.

Three detectives are investigating the area.
