Guwahati (Assam) [India]November 14, 2014 (HOL) — A special court in the city of Guwahati on Monday sent the head of the Campus Front of the President of India Assam Amir Hamza to five days in prison.
Assam Police CPRO said they are being held and are being questioned at SOU Police Station, Guwahati Special Station.
CFI (student wing of PFI) state president Amir Hamza was arrested on 11 November by a team of Assam Police led by DSP of Bellundur, Bangalore police station SOU Case No.02/2022 under 120B/124A/153A/353 IPC r /w Sec 18 of the UA(P) Act, 1967.
Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Bengaluru granted 3 days stay.
Hamza absconded after the PFI ban and was hiding in Bengaluru along with families from Tripura.
Assam Police traced and arrested him with the help of Bengaluru Police.
Meanwhile, Baksa police searched his residence and found a lot of documents including PFI/CFI/anti CAA, Pro-hijab posters, anti-BJP, anti-RSS and ABVP posters/letters. , a large number of Bank Passbooks, PFI and CFI Letters etc. (ANI)
