Sanford, Fla. – A 17-year-old suspect in a Sanford shooting in September is being sought in a string of violent home invasions and armed robberies in Georgia, authorities said.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said it is looking for Roderick Hillman, 17, who the Sanford Police Department said was connected to the Sept. 30 shooting.

According to a Sanford police report, the shooting happened at a Seminole Gardens apartment, and one person was injured during the altercation.
Roderick Hillman has ties to the Sanford community and is a suspect in a shooting that occurred in our jurisdiction on September 30, 2022.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Hillman is suspected of home invasions and robberies in June 2022 in southern Georgia’s Coffey and Atkinson counties.
Hillman is considered armed and dangerous, according to law enforcement.
Sanford police said anyone with information on Hillman’s whereabouts should call 911.
