In an email to families and staff, Ingram High School confirmed that “a student is believed to have been shot.”

“The reunification will begin in about 10 minutes. Students will be released into the auditorium one classroom at a time, where families can sign out. If a student is 18, they are allowed to leave as long as they check out. Details of the transport plan will be forthcoming,” SPD said.

Update: 11:08 am:

Police report that the suspect has been arrested. The suspect has not been identified at this time.

Update 11:01 am:

According to the Seattle police blotter, officers responded to reports of a shooting at 9:55 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have secured the campus and are searching for the suspect, who is believed to have fled the scene.


Seattle police are responding to reports of shots fired near Ingram High School.

SPD tweeted around 10 a.m. Tuesday about the shooting in the 1800 block of N 135th St near Bitter Lake in Seattle.

Police report one person was injured and CPR was being administered, an anonymous source within the department said.

“Something’s going on, but I don’t know what it is,” says Tim Robinson of Seattle Public Schools.

The public is asked to avoid the area.
