The President of India, Droupadi Murmu will visit Tripura and Assam on October 12-14, 2022 to attend several programmes, according to a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.

The President will inaugurate the Tripura Judicial Academy and lay the foundation stone of the National Law University at Narsingarh in Agartala. On the same day, she will inaugurate the Parliamentarian Hotel in the Capital Complex and lay the foundation stone for various projects of the Tripura government.

In the evening, the President will attend a civic reception hosted by the Tripura government in Agartala.

The next day, it will flag off, from Agartala Railway Station, a special extension of the Guwahati-Kolkata-Guwahati train to Agartala and an extension of the Agartala-Jiribam-Agartala Jan Shatabdi Express to Khongsang, Manipur.

On the same day, at IIT Guwahati, the President will officially inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of various projects of the Union Ministries of Electronics and Technology and Health and Family Welfare and the Government of Assam.

They include the Param Kamrupa Supercomputer Center and the design and development center for high-power microwave components at IIT Guwahati; Dhubri Medical College and Hospital; and the Zonal Institutes of the National Institute of Virology (NIV) at Dibrugarh (Assam) and Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh). In the evening, she will attend a community reception and cultural program, hosted in her honor in Guwahati.

On the last day, the President will officially launch and lay the foundation stone for various projects that will be implemented by the Government of Asima and the Ministries of Government Agencies for Transport & Roads, Oil & Natural Gas and Railways.

Among them are the opening of model Anganwadi centers with modern facilities; and Saubhagya Mission; opening of Rail-Fed fuel storage depot of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. of Moinarbond, Silchar; two highway projects; 100 of the secondary schools located in the tea plantation area of ​​Assam; two highway projects and a modern Cargo-cum-Coaching Terminal at Aghtori, Guwahati; and flag off a train from Guwahati to Lumding to Shokhuvi (Nagaland) and Mandipathar (Meghalaya).
