Two suspects, ages 19 and 16, have been charged in the shooting outside a funeral service at a Pittsburgh church, and investigators have recovered a gun believed to have been thrown from a bridge, authorities said.
Shawn Davis, 19, of McKees Rock, and a 16-year-old from Pittsburgh have been charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons counts in connection with Friday afternoon’s shooting outside Destiny of Faith Church in the Brighton Heights neighborhood of Pittsburgh Public Safety. officials said.
The gun said to have been used in the shooting was recovered by a river rescue team working at Mackie’s Rocks Bridge on Sunday morning. A gun reported stolen in Shaler Township still had a bullet in the chamber, authorities said.
Five people were shot in the incident and a sixth was injured while trying to escape. One of the gunshot victims is in critical condition.

Earlier this month, the funeral of a man killed in a shooting was broadcast live. Several people were seen in the video screaming and ducking for cover. It is not clear if shots were fired inside the church.

Prosecutors said surveillance footage showed two masked men walking into the church with guns and one shooting at someone on the sidewalk.

Court documents did not allege a motive for the shooting, and authorities said it was not immediately clear if it was related to the funeral.

The accused have been charged with injuring a horse pulling a box and causing cruelty to the animal and hitting it with a piece of bullet.
