Police arrest man involved in shooting at Hermitage Apartments | Media Pyro

HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting at a Hermitage apartment complex.

The shooting happened in May at the Avalon Apartments on Andrew Jackson Way, according to an arrest affidavit. Officers found the boy at the scene with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. A short time later, another youth was found with a gunshot wound.

Many houses and vehicles in the area were damaged in the firing.

19-year-old Jason Willis was arrested on Wednesday, November 16 and currently faces 11 charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment. Willis remains in custody on $355,000 bond.

Another man involved in the shooting was arrested again in August by Metro Nashville police, 19-year-old William Washington. He remains in custody on $265,000 bond and has nine active charges.

Police said social media helped in the search for the accused.
