One man in hospital after shooting in downtown Roanoke | Media Pyro

The Roanoke Police Department says around 12:45 a.m., officers heard gunshots and saw a large group dispersing in a parking lot in Roanoke.

Authorities say the incident happened in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue SE.

Officers found a man on the ground with a serious gunshot wound and began rendering aid, police say.

Authorities say Roanoke Fire-EMS took the man to Carrion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Details are limited at this time and Roanoke Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Roanoke police said a man was shot Saturday morning in the parking lot between Mill Mountain Coffee and 202 Social House.

The shooter is yet to be apprehended and the injured have been taken to the hospital, police said, but we don’t know the extent of their injuries.
