Jamaica, Queens (WABC) — Three people were hospitalized after a shooting in Queens.
It happened at the corner of 91st Ave and Satfin Blvd. Sunday before 2pm in Jamaica.
A 29-year-old man was shot in the buttocks, a 24-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and a 21-year-old woman was shot in the lower back. All three were admitted to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition but are in stable condition.
The gunman is described as wearing a blue bubble jacket, blue Adidas sweatpants and a mask.
Police say an argument between two men led to the shooting, but investigators are still trying to piece together the narrative that led to the violence, which spread over a city block.
It’s unclear if the violence started outside the Long Island grocery deli, but some food displays were battered. There was a trail of blood along the sidewalk to the other end of the block.
Yasser Ali turns up for his night shift at Delhi, discovers a crime in progress and the police bar his entry.
“They’re telling me somebody got shot outside and they came into the store,” Ali said.
It is unclear whether the woman who was shot is innocent.
Another shooting happened less than a mile from a busy intersection in Jamaica. Police said the 16-year-old was shot in the stomach. He was admitted to North Shore Long Island Jewish Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Authorities do not believe the two shootings are related.
