In Shreveport, a shooting was reported at a city council candidate watch party | Media Pyro

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport emergency personnel responded to a reported drive-by shooting Tuesday night (Nov. 8) outside a city council candidate’s watch party.

According to Caddo Parish dispatch records, at least a half-dozen medical units responded around 8:30 p.m. to the 9700 block of Bird Road between Interport and Ferrara Drive, where City Council candidate Alan Jackson is holding a watch party Tuesday. Night at the Southern Hills Business Association.

Police said a man on his way to a watch party was pulling into the building’s parking lot when he fired four shots into a Dodge Charger vehicle. The man inside was hit and taken to a local hospital; His injuries are not life-threatening at this time. Charger was last seen turning west on Baid.

At least a half-dozen units with the Shreveport Police Department responded to the scene.
