Surrey, BC – BC’s Independent Investigations Office (IIO) is investigating the death of a man and the serious injury of a woman following a police-involved shooting near Keremios.

On September 13, 2022 at 7:45 a.m., there was an interaction between police and a man and a woman in the 4100-block of Highway 3, according to information provided by the RCMP.

During the interaction, the police opened fire. A man and a woman were shot and injured.

The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where the man was pronounced dead.

The IIO was informed soon after the incident took place and investigators were deployed to the spot to begin investigation.
