Surrey, BC – BC’s Independent Investigations Office (IIO) is investigating a non-fatal police-involved shooting in Surrey.

Information from the RCMP states that on May 24, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a woman in possession of a weapon near the intersection of King George Boulevard and 104A Avenue.

When officers arrived, an exchange ensued and police opened fire. The woman who was shot was taken to the hospital for treatment.
