In this week’s installment of our Opt Out Tuesday series, we’ll show you how to remove yourself from Apollo.io.
Here’s the backstory
Never pay for people finding services. Most of these sites are scams. You may think you’re paying for a single report and find yourself being charged regularly.
And never pay to have your information removed from any site. This process should be provided free of charge.
But be careful what links you click when you opt out of people finder sites. The links they provide are often advertisements that take you to another site that requires payment. We will provide the exact links to remove from these sites in each disclaimer report on Tuesday.
Do you have older relatives who may not know about these sites? Even though you are giving up yourself, why not do the same for them? Just enter their information as you would your own and follow our steps until the end.

Apollo.io is a data-driven sales platform that sells professional and business information online. The site allows anyone to search and interact with more than 250 million contacts at more than 60 million companies through its platform.
If you have a job or business that attracts sellers, there’s a good chance you’ll see your personal information here.
How to opt out of Apollo.io
- Find out if your information is hosted on Apollo.io. Open your browser and use the following search formula: “[job title] [company] Apollo.io.”
- Regardless of whether your information appears in any of the results, you can still request an opt-out.
- Go to apollo.io/privacy-policy/remove.
- Enter your email address and select Click here to opt out of Apollo.
- You will get a pop-up asking you to check your inbox.
- Open the Apollo Support message and click link to check.
- You will be taken to a confirmation page for your removal request.
- Watch for another email to let you know that your information will be deleted in 24 hours.
