Four minors have been arrested for allegedly firing at a 36-year-old man in northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri on Friday evening, police said.
Javed, a resident of H Block, Jahangirpuri, who was injured, was shifted to Babu Jagjeevan Ram Memorial Hospital and later to a higher centre, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West) Usha Rangnani said. His condition is stable.
Police said the control room received a call at 5.15 pm that a person had been shot.
During investigation, the victim told the police that he was sitting on the street on Friday evening when four boys came and shot him in the face and fled the scene. He said the victim knew the boys. The police informed that the bullet hit his eye and his health condition is satisfactory.
During the investigation, the minors were nabbed and they revealed that seven months ago a victim had beaten up the father of one of them and they wanted to take revenge.
The victim was sitting in front of the house when the boys were walking, the CCTV camera captured. One of them fired at him and all fled from the spot.
