Brothers arrested in connection with Sunday’s shooting in Hattiesburg | Media Pyro

Hattiesburg, Miss. (WDMAM) – The Hattiesburg Police Department has charged a brother and sister in connection with a shooting Sunday.

According to HPD, the shooting happened on Sunday, Nov. 6, on Martin Luther King Avenue.

When officers responded to a report of a disturbance, they learned a vehicle had been shot at. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Both suspects were taken into custody on Monday afternoon, November 7, and charged with the following:

  • Tevon Gaddis, 31, of Hattiesburg, who is currently on probation at MDOC, is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon by a felon and a misdemeanor count of malicious mischief.
  • Chyna Gaddis, 23, of Hattiesburg, who is currently on probation at MDOC, was charged with possession of a weapon by a felon.

Tevon and Chyna were taken to the Forrest County Adult Detention Center for booking.
