The Assam Secretariat in Guwahati on Monday said that all employees will have to come to the office on all working days in official clothes only.
Several new orders have been introduced for the employees of the Assam Secretariat in Guwahati including employees working on daily or fixed or monthly allowances.
These directives are issued in the interest of the smooth running and functioning of the council as per the directives of the chairman of the council.
The new instructions are as follows:
1) All employees must reach the office at 9:30 am sharp and must register through the biometric attendance system and leave only after office hours.
2) Employees need to perform tasks beyond the official working hours as the demand and urgency of the work.
3) All employees must attend the office on all working days in official dress only. It includes salwar suit, saree, mekhela chador and formal shirt pants.
4) Casual clothing such as t-shirts, jeans, leggings, etc. is not allowed.
5) The traditional dress of every Assamese community should be worn every Wednesday as desired by the worker.
6) All employees regardless of rank must wear the uniform of the office to be prescribed and issued by the secretary compulsorily during council sessions and any other official time.
On the other hand, the other also said that any employee who does not comply with the instructions will be dealt with strictly.
On the other hand, any employee who fails to meet the required working hours, will be entitled to a deduction from his monthly salary.
