Assam CM Himanta Biswa gets Z-plus security, government renews security cover | Media Pyro

After a recent security review, the CRPF has been directed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to upgrade its security to the highest level of Z-plus for all India, officials said.

Sarma, 53, has so far been enjoying the cover of the Z section provided by the CRPF Central Police Force’s VIP security section on his tour of the northeastern states so far.

As per the ‘Z’ sector security arrangement, more than 50 commandos will accompany the Assam CM whenever he travels anywhere in the country.

Sarma was given ‘Z’ category security cover by CRPF in 2017. In earlier security arrangements, ‘Z’ category was given to Sarma in the state.
