Arrested by London, Ont. Man wanted in London’s Bonaventure Drive shooting | Media Pyro

Officers have arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting last month in east London, Ont., police said.

The shooting happened around noon on Sept. 17 in a parking lot on Bonaventure Drive near Admiral Drive, but police say they didn’t learn about the incident until the next day.

On the afternoon of Sept. 18, police say officers responded to a call “regarding a welfare check on an individual on Bonaventure Drive.”

That’s when officers arrived to find evidence of “one person injured in the parking lot, but the victim was not located.”

As the investigation continues, police say they learned “an adult male is in the hospital with significant injuries.”

On Sept. 20, police said Mickey LaCourse, 46, of London, was charged.

He faces seven charges, including assault, breach of probation and five weapons-related offences.

Two weeks later, Lacourse was arrested by London officers early Wednesday morning, police said.

The 46-year-old made his first court appearance on Wednesday.
