Guwahati: Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda will arrive in Guwahati on Friday evening.
The two leaders will be on a three-day visit to Assam and will open the new office of the party.
While Nadda will leave on Saturday evening after attending several meetings, Shah will leave the state on Sunday evening after several official functions.
On Saturday, the two leaders will inaugurate the new BJP office on National Highway-27 in Basistha Chariali area, in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
“After the function, the leaders will address a rally of BJP booth workers at the Khanapara Veterinary College Stadium. We expect around 40,000-45,000 booth workers to attend the rally,” Kalita said. added to that.
Shah will attend a series of official meetings on Saturday evening and Sunday morning, scheduled to take place at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.
Yesterday afternoon, he will visit Golaghat’s Dergaon Police Training College to attend a meeting of state police chiefs.
Shah will leave Assam on Sunday evening from Jorhat airport.
