Authorities are searching for a suspect in a shooting that left four people dead overnight at an Aurora home.

Aurora’s interim police chief, Dan Oates, said three men and a woman were killed in the attack just after 2 a.m. Sunday. Two “very young” children and a woman, the suspect’s housemate, were unharmed.

A restraining order was issued earlier in the week barring the suspect, 21-year-old Joseph Mario Castorena, from coming to the home or contacting the housemate who lived there. Police searched Castorina’s home a few blocks from the scene of the murder, but were unable to find him.

“He’s definitely considered armed and he’s obviously dangerous,” Oates said.

“It was an accumulation of events that happened here that led to this,” Oates said.

Police used drones to search for Castorena at sunrise and searched for him in a nearby neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Denver police said Sunday evening that the city was “undergoing a triple death investigation.”

They did not elaborate on the situation other than to say it happened in the 4500 block of Kittredge Street in the Gateway-Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.

Denver police said Sunday morning that they are investigating a shooting that left two people dead. It happened in the 9800 block of East Girard Avenue near Cherry Creek State Park.
