Virginia will not face Coastal Carolina on Saturday.

The school announced Wednesday that its Week 12 game against the Chanticleers has been canceled in the wake of a shooting that left three football players dead and another injured Sunday night. Another student was also injured in the firing.

Devin Chandler, LaVall Davis Jr. and DeSean Perry died Sunday night, while Mike Hollins was injured. Christopher Darnell Jones, a member of the 2018 football team, is suspected of being the shooter. The shooting occurred Sunday night in a campus parking garage after a bus ride to see a theater production in Washington, D.C. More

Saturday’s game against Coastal Carolina will be Senior Day and the Cavaliers’ final home game of the season. The school said Wednesday that it has not decided whether to play the final week of the season against Virginia Tech and will make a decision on whether to play that game later.
