TUCSON, Ariz. (COLDNEWS13) – Two people are dead after a shooting on Tucson’s south side overnight Nov. 10.
Tucson police said they were called just before midnight to a home in the West 1600 block of San Ricardo Boulevard, south of West Star Pass Boulevard.
When they arrived, police said they saw a black SUV leaving the area and found 41-year-old Tyrone Bonney suffering from gunshot wounds in front of the home. Officers tried to treat Bonnie’s injuries, but he eventually died at the scene.
While interviewing the people inside the home, authorities learned the second man was shot and drove himself to Banner UMC’s South Campus in a black SUV. A second man, 34-year-old Kevin Lavon Wee, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detectives who conducted interviews and collected evidence at the scene believe Bonney lived with one of the residents at the home. Bonnie and Vee went to the home that night to confront the residents before the confrontation turned physical, leading to the shooting.
Vie and Bonnie are cut, and Vie drives to the hospital in an SUV. The resident involved also suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
After searching the home and examining evidence, police charged the 40-year-old resident with aggravated assault with a weapon. He was later released from the Pima County Jail.
Detectives plan to submit their findings to Pima County prosecutors for further review.
