According to reports, on September 7, 2019, the accused took the victim girl to Barbalu Primary School and raped her.
After the incident, the victim’s father filed a complaint with the police before a case was registered at the Sukchar police station under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
Lawyer Biswajit Mahanta said that the Special Judge and District Sessions Judge, South Salmara Mankachar on Monday issued a verdict related to case number 31/2021 against accused Mustafizur Rahman.
“The allegation against the accused was that the accused Mustafizur Rahman took the victim to primary school and raped her when she was under 18 years of age. A case was registered under the POCSO Act and the case was submitted to this court. , the court framed the charge against the accused Mustafizur Rahman, under section 376 (3) IPC, R/W section 4 and 2 of the POCSO Act, the court also framed another accused under section 294 /506.IPC when 9 witnesses were taken, the court heard the argument, after hearing the argument the court sentenced the accused, and sentenced him to 20 years in prison and a fine of Rs 20,000 if he fails. paying the fine, to get additional imprisonment for six months,” lawyer Biswajit Mahanta said.
