Peel Regional Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was shot to death in Brampton Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened in the area of Belchase Trail and Highway 50 around 3:40 p.m.
Police say they found a 30-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds on the side of a residential street.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he remains in stable, non-life-threatening condition.
Police said a vehicle with several unidentified occupants was seen fleeing the area.
There are no further suspect details at this time, however police believe this is a targeted incident.
Police say no arrests have been made yet and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact 21st Division Criminal Investigation Bureau officials at 905-453-2121 extension 2133.
Investigators are also asking anyone with video surveillance, dash-cam or digital video footage to contact police. Information can be provided anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
