Forest Hills Borough, Pa. – The victim of an officer-involved shooting in Forest Hills has been identified.

Marcus Allen, 38, of Pittsburgh, was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital after being shot Sunday. He later died.
His death is being investigated by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.
According to Allegheny County 911, police and EMS units were called to the 2300 block of Ardmore Boulevard in Forest Hills at 10:17 a.m. Sunday.
According to Allegheny County Police, Allen yelled at people while raising his shirt and brandishing a gun.
Two Forest Hills officers located Allen on Yost Boulevard near Ardmore Manor Drive. They tried to talk him down, but he started shooting at the officers.
Both officers returned fire, hitting Allen several times, police said.
Police said one of the officers’ uniform pants was hit during the shootout. The officer was not injured.
Forest Hills Police have requested investigative assistance from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit. The investigation is ongoing and all investigative information will be provided to the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office for review.
