Mumbai: Actress Kangana Ranaut has started shooting for her upcoming film Emergency in Assam.
Ranaut recently toured the state for a hunting trip and visited places like Kaziranga and Karbi Anglong.
The actress uploaded a picture from the sets of the film on her Instagram stories and wrote, “Ok, let’s do this. Assam schedule begins… #emergency”
Touted as a story about a watershed moment in Indian political history, ‘Hurry’ is written and directed by Ranaut. She is also starring in the upcoming film on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The film will also feature veteran actor Anupam Kher in the role of revolutionary leader JP Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and Mahima Chaudhry as cultural writer-activist Pupul Jayakar.
