Clarksville shooting victim taken to Nashville hospital | Media Pyro

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Clarksville Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday afternoon at Pine Mountain Road and Woodbridge Drive.

Police received a call about the shooting around 12:35 p.m. A short time later a vehicle arrived at Tenova Healthcare with the gunshot victim. The victim was taken to a Nashville hospital for treatment.

Police closed Pine Mountain Road near the intersection of Woodbridge Drive while they processed the scene.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911 immediately.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools said the system is making modifications to bus routes that affect crime scenes and will have additional law enforcement officers in the area to help disperse students. The shooting occurred near Kenwood Elementary, but police said there was no threat to the school or nearby Kenwood Middle or Kenwood High.
