Guwahati, Nov 16: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut started her shooting schedule for her upcoming film “Emergency” in Assam on Wednesday. The actress who is known for her controversial statements recently visited various places in Assam before starting the shoot soon.
The actor took to her Instagram and wrote, “Ok, let’s do this. Start of Assam schedule… #emergency”.
The film will be based on a real emergency that happened in India in 1975, where the actress will essay the character of the Indian prime minister, Indira Gandhi.
According to reports, the film is written and directed by Ranaut herself.
Actor Anupam Kher will play JP Narayan, Shreyas Talpade will play former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind Soman will play Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, and Mahima Chaudhry will play writer and cultural activist Pupul. Jayakar.
Meanwhile, actor Hrithik Roshan is also said to be shooting his next movie Fighter at Tezpur Air Force Base where he will be joined by Bollywood actresses, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor later.
