Ahead of the grand celebration of Lachit Borphukan’s 400th birth anniversary in Delhi, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on November 16, released a theme song.
The said theme song is composed by Assam heartthrob Zubeen Garg.
“The government of Assam has planned a district-wise concert on November 18 and also several events planned before the main event,” Sarma said in a press conference.
Sarma also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the closing ceremony in Delhi, while Home Minister Amit Shah will also grace the occasion.
Taking to Twitter, CM Sarma wrote, “We are all geared up to make Lachit Borphukan’s 400th birth anniversary celebration a memorable event. Launched the official song of Lachit Divas sung by young singer Zubeen Garg whose melodious voice raised the spirit of patriotism.“
