The 2022 Asia-Pacific Predator League Grand Championships took place in Tokyo, Japan from November 11-13, where 30 teams from all over the Asia-Pacific region gathered to showcase their skills in intense team battles. The first physical competition in three years was successfully completed and broadcast through various channels, resulting in a huge audience.

The winning teams of the Dota 2 and PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS tournaments shared a total prize pool of USD 260,000, and each received the coveted Predator shields.

DotA 2 highlights

Polaris Esports was the Dota 2 champion in the 2022 Predator League Grand Championship, and the team only lost one game during the entire tournament. The audience was in awe of their dominant performance during the Grand Finals, leading Execration who fought bravely and finished the tournament in second place.

Third place was awarded to up-and-coming GrindSky Esports, and their performance surprised many after the new team performed energetically throughout the tournament.

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Highlights

As for the PUBG tournament, champions Genius Esports dominated the battlefields, posting a 70-point margin over other teams.

DWG KIA, who showed strong gameplay and set the tone of the tournament from day one, finished in second place. ArkAngel Predator finished with a well-deserved 3rd place victory, with their patient and consistent playstyle throughout their matches.

Intel MVP driver

Apart from the group awards, individual merits were also awarded to outstanding players, namely Ezqelusia from Attack All Around and ATee from Yangon Galacticos as they were declared Intel MVPs during their respective tournaments.

The Next Predator Series

The next Predators League final will be held in the Philippines and will return to its original tournament format starting with the qualifier in the second half of 2023, followed by the grand finals in early 2024.
