A South Nashville shooting investigation is ongoing | Media Pyro

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Metro Nashville Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured in a South Nashville neighborhood early Thursday morning.

According to police at the scene, they were called to a home in the 2000 block of Fannie Williams Street around 5:30 a.m. to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The man was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

Police are still searching for the shooter, who left the gun at the scene before fleeing.

The investigation is ongoing and detectives believe it may have started as an attempted robbery.
