Dayton – Update: 11 am
One person was killed in a shooting in Dayton early Tuesday morning.
Dayton Police Lt. Steve Bauer said officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of West Second Street shortly before 2:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired.

A man in his 20s was found dead from a gunshot wound, Bauer said. The man was a resident of the house.
Bauer says the shooting inside the home was not intentional. Details of how many times he was shot are not available.
Bauer said a homicide unit will continue to investigate the shooting.

One person was confirmed dead and a woman was taken into custody after a shooting in Dayton early Tuesday morning.
Dayton police responded to the shooting near West Second Street and North Gettysburg Avenue around 2:30 a.m., according to Montgomery County dispatch.
Officers on the scene blocked communications while they worked.
Officers responded to a woman who allegedly shot a man who entered a home, dispatch said.
Officials have not been able to confirm whether the home belongs to the woman or what caused the shooting.
