Officials say an arrest has been made in connection with two shootings in Brampton, Ont.

Peel Regional Police said on July 31, officers received a report of shots fired at a residence at Mayfield and Dixie roads.

Police said no one was injured in the shooting.

Emily Nagulendran, 23, of Brampton, and a 15-year-old male were arrested in November, officials said.

Officials said each was charged with discharging a firearm with intent.

Under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the teenager cannot be identified.

According to police, at 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 11, officers received a report of a shooting in the area of ​​Queen Street East and Dixie Road.

Two people who were shot were found and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Jahaim Powell, 21, of Brampton, was charged with five counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a prohibited instrument or ammunition and possession for the purpose of drug trafficking, officials said.

Nagulendran has been charged with five cases of attempt to murder, police said.

Officials said that the accused were taken into custody on consideration of a special bail application.
